On the outside, Army Navy (Marine) Store - Formerly Swede and Son's Military Surplus - entices the eyes with swaths of red, green, brown, black, blue, white, tan and olive paint that camouflage the metal building. But - one step inside the door - and the nose joins the battle, ambushed by the musty fragrance of military canvas and machine oil, caused by the sweet smell of military surplus items.

In business since March 1997, and selling over the internet since 1999, Army Navy Store has been selling goods locally and internationally for many years.

Army Navy Store carries a full range of sizes of camo clothing , T-shirts and new & used BDUs (battle dress uniforms) ­ including advantage, tiger stripe, urban and Desert Storm in addition to basic brown, olive drab and black.

Footwear is also sold including Danner Boots, Altama Boots, and used military boots, along with socks, boot care products and even more accessories. In the middle of the store, you will see Navy Pea Coats, Flight Jackets, Leather Jackets, N3B jackets, liners and kids Bomber Jackets to name just some of the selection.  

Along with the men's, women's and kids clothing, Army Navy Store supplies dog tags, helmet liners, gas masks, dummy ammunition, ammo cans, MRE's, first aid kits, and just too much stuff to list them all.

Almost every guest who walks in the store remarks about the size of the giant inventory in the store and spend hours "looking at all the great stuff". The large selection of knives and security items are always noticed and popular.

Camping & Hiking gear takes up several sections of the store incuding sleeping bags, stoves, mess kits, canteens, tents, backpacks, rucksacks, duffle bags and more.

One wall displays an extensive collection of medals and insignia, including the Screaming Eagle shoulder patch of the 101st Airborne Division and the Big Red One insignia of the 1st Infantry Division. Army Navy stocks many more Military Emblem items such as hats, ship hats, patches, ribbons, flasks, Zippo Lighters, challenge coins, bumper stickers, flags, and much more.

The owner and ex-Navy man, "Swede" Hastings as well as Store Manager Dave Ewing work hard to create a friendly environment for their many guests. "Working here is fun" says Dave and we will do whatever we can to serve our guests, and our men and women in uniform.
