The 12x40 Predator Pro brings high power and amazing contrast with a high depth of filed into one. The Predator Pro binocular's unique high contrast lens coating helps users discern subjects against green-colored foliage. This latest Predator model, with the "Pro" designation, offers high light transmission while maintaining optimal levels of contrast.
The Predator Pro features Steiner's exclusive Color Adjusted Transmission (CAT) lens coating that enhances brown and red colors against foliated backgrounds, making game "pop" from a wooded background. Using this proprietary coating system, Steiner's 12x40 Predator Pro offers bright and crisp images, enhancing the binocular's effectiveness at dusk and dawn.
The 12x40 Predator Pro uses a unique automatic focus system that, once set for the user's eyes, keeps all subjects in focus at distances from approximately 30 yards to infinity. The Sports Auto-Focus allows hunters to scan an entire landscape without having to readjust focus. It can also be faster in locating wildlife since the entire depth of field is constantly in focus.
The Predator Pro's new NBR rubber armoring has also been re-engineered to be more durable and emits almost no noise during handling. The new rubber offers a firm grip and is more tactile in wet weather. The forest green color blends well with most camo patterns. With 18.5mm eye relief and soft, fold-down eyecups, eyeglass wearers will have no difficulty whether they choose to wear their glasses or not.
